The Room
Membership terms
By purchasing or renewing a The Room membership, signing in to the member area, joining the member Discord, or downloading Vector Sigma, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not buy, renew, or use member benefits.
This page is a working draft for product clarity. It is not a substitute for advice from your own counsel. We may update these terms; the effective date above is the version that applies unless we notify you otherwise.
1. What membership includes
While your membership is active (and subject to these terms), The Room typically includes:
- Access to download Vector Sigma for installation on your own computer
- Access to the private member Discord, when provided
- Access to member library materials we publish during your membership term (skills, articles, prompts, templates, and similar drops)
- Access to the authenticated member area on this site
Features may change as we ship. Marketing pages describe the current offer; these terms control if there is a conflict.
2. Who may join
You must be able to form a binding contract and provide accurate account information. Membership is for individuals or a single organization seat as purchased. You may not share login credentials, Discord invites, or download links as a substitute for additional seats.
3. Billing and renewal
The Room is billed as described at checkout (currently an annual subscription via Stripe). Prices may change for future renewal periods; we will not change the price of an already-paid term mid-term except as required by law or payment-provider rules.
Unless canceled, subscriptions renew according to Stripe's billing for your subscription. Manage payment methods and cancellations through the Stripe customer portal or by contacting us. Fees already paid for a then-current term are generally non-refundable except where required by law or where we choose to issue a refund at our discretion.
4. Vector Sigma (local software)
Vector Sigma is software you download, install, and run on hardware you control. It is not a cloud service hosted by 716 Ventures, LLC. Runs that use Cursor ACP (or similar) execute under your Cursor (or other third-party) account and subscription. You are responsible for those third-party terms, fees, and usage.
You agree that you will:
- Install and run Vector Sigma only in environments you are authorized to use
- Not reverse engineer, redistribute, resell, sublicense, or publicly host Vector Sigma builds except as we expressly allow in writing
- Not use Vector Sigma to attack systems, violate others' rights, or break applicable law
- Not run Vector Sigma in ways that are expressly forbidden in these terms, product documentation, or in-product notices
Before download, the member area requires you to confirm that you understand Vector Sigma runs locally and that 716 Ventures, LLC is not liable for issues arising from forbidden or unintended use. That confirmation is stored on your membership record.
5. Discord and community
Member Discord access is a privilege. Do not harass others, share others' private information, spam, or post malware. Do not paste full library drops or private member materials into public channels outside the community. We may remove access for conduct that harms members or the community, with or without a refund for the remaining term.
6. Library content license
While your membership is active, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use library materials in your own projects and with your team. You may not:
- Repackage or resell drops as a competing product or course
- Publish full member-only materials publicly without our written permission
- Share your account so others can avoid paying for membership
When membership ends, stop using member-only materials except for work product you already created for yourself or your organization that incorporates ideas or snippets in the ordinary course (not wholesale redistribution of our packs).
7. Accounts and security
Keep your sign-in email and devices secure. Magic-link sign-in is tied to the email you control. Notify us promptly if you believe your account was compromised. We may suspend access while we investigate abuse or fraud.
8. Intellectual property
716 Ventures, The Room, Vector Sigma, The Factory, site design, branding, and member materials remain owned by 716 Ventures, LLC or its licensors. Membership buys access and a limited license—not ownership of our IP—except for your own content and projects.
9. Disclaimers
Member benefits, including Vector Sigma and library materials, are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for a particular purpose. Building software involves judgment; AI-assisted tools can produce incorrect or insecure output. You are responsible for reviewing, testing, and deciding what ships.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, 716 Ventures, LLC and its officers, employees, and contractors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising from membership, Vector Sigma, Discord, library materials, or the site.
Without limiting the above, 716 Ventures, LLC is not liable for issues arising from: (a) running Vector Sigma on your machines or networks; (b) use that is expressly forbidden by these terms or product documentation; (c) third-party services such as Cursor, Discord, Stripe, or hosting providers; or (d) your failure to back up data or secure credentials.
Our total liability for any claim related to membership will not exceed the fees you paid to us for The Room in the twelve months before the claim.
11. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify 716 Ventures, LLC against claims arising from your misuse of member benefits, your projects, or your violation of these terms or applicable law, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.
12. Suspension and termination
You may cancel renewal as described in section 3. We may suspend or terminate access for non-payment, abuse, legal risk, or material breach. On termination, download links, Discord access, and member-area features may stop immediately for the affected account.
13. Changes
We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of membership benefits after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes to Vector Sigma local-use acknowledgments may require you to confirm again in the member area.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Erie County, New York (or the federal courts sitting there) are the exclusive venue for disputes that cannot be resolved informally, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
15. Contact
