Chroma Server and optional membership
Chroma Server and first-party ChromaTV viewing applications are free, with every stable feature included. There are no trial requirements, feature gates, or artificial library or playback limits. Stable releases, including new features, bug fixes, and security updates, are available to everyone.
Optional membership supports ongoing development and offers early access to new releases and development updates. Preview builds, experimental features, and roadmap participation are exclusive to lifetime Founding Members; they are not included in standard annual membership. Preview features become available to everyone when they reach the stable release. Membership is not required to use Chroma or receive stable updates.
Founding Membership is $60 once, limited to 10,000 members. Founder status and recognition are permanent, with a founder badge and no annual renewal. Founding Members receive development updates and can participate in roadmap discussions and preview releases while development continues. This is support for the project, not a paid license required to use the software.
Memberships are not open yet. Payment terms will be published before enrollment opens.
Separately licensed content, third-party services, or unavoidable direct per-user third-party costs may require separate payment. These costs do not make ordinary Chroma features membership-only.
Chroma Server runs on hardware you control. 716 Ventures, LLC does not host your media library. You are responsible for the legality of media you store and stream on your own network, for securing your server, and for third-party services you connect (including TV platforms and payment processing).
