Privacy policy

This page is a practical summary of our data practices for product clarity. It is not a substitute for advice from your own counsel. We may update it; the effective date above is the version that applies unless we notify you otherwise.

1. Who we are

716 Ventures, LLC operates this website from Buffalo, New York. For privacy questions, use the contact form.

2. What we collect

Depending on how you use the site, we may process:

• Contact and acquisition inquiries — name, email, message content, and related metadata you submit.
• Account and membership data — email address and session information for magic-link sign-in; membership and entitlement status for The Room; billing status via Stripe (we do not store full card numbers on our servers).
• Room applications and invites — email and application details you provide for waitlist or invitation flows.
• Technical logs — IP address, user agent, and request metadata needed for security, rate limiting, and abuse prevention.
• Usage analytics — aggregated, cookieless page analytics via Vercel Web Analytics (see below).

3. Why we use it

• To respond to inquiries and run our products and services.
• To authenticate members, deliver The Room benefits, and process payments.
• To keep the site secure and reliable.
• To understand aggregate traffic so we can improve the site (analytics).

4. Analytics and cookies

We use Vercel Web Analytics (opens in a new tab), which is designed to measure traffic without advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we drop analytics events for that visit.

Essential cookies or similar storage may be used for sign-in sessions and security. We do not use a third-party ad network on this site.

5. Processors and sharing

We use service providers to operate the site, including hosting (Vercel), email delivery (Resend), payments (Stripe), and database hosting. They process data only to provide those services to us. We do not sell personal information.

6. Retention

We keep contact messages and account records as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, or resolve disputes. You can ask us to delete account-related data where applicable; we may retain limited records required for billing, security, or law.

7. Your choices

• Contact us to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, subject to legal limits.
• Use browser controls and Global Privacy Control where available.
• The Room billing and cancellation are described in the membership terms.

8. Security reports

To report a vulnerability, see security.txt or use the contact form and mark the message as a security issue.

9. Changes

If we make material changes, we will update the effective date on this page.
